A Visit from the Fire Fighters
Don’t be afraid of the fire fighter!
Up close and personal with the fire hydrant outside
We got to see the fire truck!
Fire Safety Work
I printed this set of Fire Safety Tips Posters from PreKinders in card size (four posters to a page) to make a set of matching cards. This was a fun game to play in a group. I distributed one set of cards among the children. I read a safety tip from my set of cards and the child with the matching card placed it on the rug. (Source: Karen Cox)
“What would you do if…” fire safety oral language development cards. These are also great as prompts for movable alphabet stories. (Source: Elementary Matters)

We’ve been enjoying this song by Boni Gravelle, a Kindergarten teacher in Hawaii. I made some cards with the lyrics to the song. The children enjoy taking these out and talking about the various safety tips mentioned. (Sorry, these cards are not available as a download since I don’t have reprint permission from the song writer or the photographers.)
