Lauren’s Montessori Classroom: Sensorial Area

February 10, 2017 By Lauren Franchek

Thank you to Lauren Franchek for sharing her beautiful classroom with us! You can find links to explore the other areas of her classroom at the bottom of this page.

The pink tower on a special stand and the brown stair
color boxes and the binomial and trinomial cubes
the geometric cabinet and cards.

Missing on the top shelf is her beautiful bird cage. The birds were at home with a student when these photos were taken.

Peeking through the shelf, you see a quiet corner with a comfy chair.

The children learn to play various CD’s from their favorite composures.

Here you have the Rough and Smooth boards, Smelling Jars, Baric Tablets, Sound Cylinders, Thermic Bottles, Thermic Tablets, Tasting Bottles, Fabric Box, Mystery Bag and Progressive Sorting Exercises.

Red rods
Constructive triangles
Knobless cylinders

Graded Geometric Figures
Geometric solids + Base and Face Shapes

Sensorial Decanomial

Knobbed cylinders ‘Cylinder Blocks’ on a special stepped shelf.
