About Angie Ma
I begin my 15th year as a Montessori teacher with intense, competing emotions of hope and fear, resolve and worry, grief and love. I also work as a Toddler House Curriculum Support staff and Primary teacher at Follow the Child Montessori School in Raleigh, NC where I strive to hone my skills, grow as a professional, and share my deep commitment to Anti-Racist Anti-Bias teaching, living, and learning. I’m passionate about working with parents in our community through various workshops and social media. I live in Durham North Carolina with my wife, Sarah and our amazing girls, Lilah and Maddie (we call ourselves the SLAM family). We also shower our two golden retrievers, Fenway and Piper, with loads of affection and they return the favor with tumbleweeds of fur and wagging tails. I’m an aspiring gardener, a yoga practitioner (Ashtanga), watercolor artist, and a ukulele strummer.
