By the time our children reach the Elementary level, it’s easy for us to get hyper focused on the academics. But, believe it or not, Practical Life is just as important a part of the Montessori elementary curriculum as it is of the primary curriculum.
It is through practical life activities that children really integrate their learning and reach higher and higher levels of independence.
Please join Tammy Oesting in the 2017 Montessori Homeschool Summit for a discussion of Practical Life for the Elementary level. In this talk, Tammy helps you understand some of the developmental needs of this plane of development, and then provides a framework that you can use to plan and implement age appropriate practical life activities in your homeschool.
Tammy Oesting is 3-6 and 6-12 certified through AMS.
