A Pun for Father’s Day

June 12, 2016 By Seemi Abdullah

Here’s an easy Father’s Day craft if you need to throw something together at the last minute!

Dad Rocks Easy Fathers Day Craft

Even the preschoolers got a chuckle out of this one!  “He’s cute!”  “He looks nothing like my dad!” “I love his nose!”

We talked about how this was a “pun”.  “A pun is a kind of joke where you use a word that has two meanings.”

What does it mean when you say, “My dad rocks!”  “It means my dad is awesome!”

What you need:

  • River rocks (hunt for them outside or grab them at the craft store if you need a lot)
  • School glue
  • Craft feathers
  • Googly eyes
  • Tip of a Q-tip (or a tiny pom pom for a nose)

We finished it off with a sweet interview using this printable from Kinzie’s Creations
